After attending art college in the sixties, I had a career for 35 years as an art director working in various top London advertising agencies. On retiring, I spent six years working part-time as a school art technician which re-kindled my interest in ceramics.
I now work from my studio in south west London where I use both wheel and handbuilding techniques to create my work.
I am particularly fascinated by the technique of raku - there is an elemental aspect to this and the effect is only revealed at the final stage. There is often therefore a degree of surprise - each piece is unique both in form and finish.
